IDIP is well positioned to assist the departments
through the provisioning of the following support mechanisms:
- Support and guidance at the strategic level in
departments
- Accessing funds for and supporting the acquisition of
critical skills
- Investigating and implementing alternative models for
improving effectiveness and efficiency
- Support with entrenching appropriate governance,
coordination and communication as intended in the Service Delivery Agreement
(This includes in particular the institutionalising of the SDA)
- Assisting with the development and deployment of best
practice infrastructure delivery management systems and sound control,
monitoring and reporting systems, in line with current legislative, policy and
regulatory frameworks
- Facilitating a strong change and communication
management program to ensure optimal communication in the department and
across the various affected departments and to build trust between the
departments; and,
- Assisting in clarifying and creating horizontal and
vertical decision making processes and structures to facilitate quality and
speedy infrastructure delivery.
